Launch Valley Tutoring Scholarship

To apply, submit a 500–1,000 word essay responding to the following prompt:

"Describe a moment when someone teaching you one-on-one made a difference that a classroom couldn't. It could be a tutor, parent, teacher, coach, or anyone else. Who was it, what did they do, and why did it work?"

We don't ask for your GPA or test scores. We work with students at every level. Some of our students are catching up after falling behind. Some are accelerating into material their school doesn't offer. A GPA doesn't tell us anything useful about either group.

What we care about, and what this essay is for, is the effort, curiosity, and honesty you bring to your own learning. Write something real. That's what we're reading for.
